Compensation: NegotiableLocation: Mobile, ALAssignment Duration: Direct hireWork Schedule: M-F / 40 hours+Benefits: Comprehensive insurance provided by client Responsibilities

Familiarity with and utilizing department design and drafting standards

Familiarity with project scope, specifications, and design criteria upon assignment to a project task team

Produce medium complex, complete design calculations and assignments

Produce reports for client and/or regulatory agencies

Provide design assistance on larger and more complex assignments

Checking calculations made by other engineers to ensure accuracy, conformance to codes, specifications, design criteria and conformance to good engineering practice

Develop conceptual layouts and cost studies.  Assist with drafting of plans and details for the completion of engineering drawings

Perform fieldwork to gather data, check tie-ins, and provide construction support.  Perform land development and zoning code research for civil-site development projectsDevelop written construction specifications that define the scope of work, provide specific instruction, and prescribe quality standardsWork with discipline lead engineer in identifying scope changes in projectsReview and check submittal drawings and documentationAbility to lead small size teams in coordinating civil efforts and keeping the team focused on scope, schedule and budgetAssist with estimating and scheduling professional service hours and assessing the progress and quality of civil/structural work Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university4 - 7 years of experience in Structural EngineeringProfessional licensure is required. Engineer in Training (EIT) registration may be considered if Professional licensure can be obtained in the first six (6) months of employment   Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, maintaining focus and re-prioritizing as necessary to meet multiple commitmentsKnowledge and application of associated standards (ASCE, ACI, AASHTO, AREMA, NRCS, NFPA, etc.)Working knowledge of civil stormwater analysis software (SSA, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and/or ICPR) including operating and interpreting resultsAbility to actively listen and ascertain the needs of Teammates and Clients.  Ability to work with a team to complete small and large projectsAble to assist with the development of presentations of Client's servicesWorking knowledge of AutoCAD. Civil3D software is a plusProficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and OutlookGood communication skills, both verbal and writtenVirtual team skills and cross divisional relationships are developed, and able to provide interoffice execution leadership and support.
