Our Nuclear Services Group is seeking a Civil Structural Engineering Lead for our Kennesaw, GA (HQ), Fort Worth, TX, Chattanooga, TN, Baton Rouge, LA, Overland Park, KS, or Naperville, IL location. In this role, you will have the opportunity to review and check designs, drawings and data prepared by other engineers, prepare calculations and evaluate technical bids as well as oversee technical work performed by others on assigned projects. Responsibilities Understand roles played by other disciplines on the project and is able to coordinate and interface with other engineering disciplinesParticipate in reviewing and checking designs, drawings, and data prepared by other engineers or subcontractorsPrepare design studies, project scopes, and engineering estimatesManage budget, scope, schedule, and quality associated with the designated work assignment with minimal guidance and technical oversightPrepare calculations/specifications and can evaluate technical bidsDevise new approaches to technical problems. Broad knowledge of precedents in the industryMake recommendations based on knowledge and experienceAssign tasks, mentor, and coach junior-level employeesTravel and participate in client meetings, field installation, checkout, and start-upDirect and oversee routine and advanced technical work performed by others on assigned projects and maintains quality standards of all assigned projectsApprove timesheets and expense reports for direct reports and participate in annual performance reviews Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Civil engineering from an accredited universityMinimum 2 years of Civil Structural Engineering experienceCurrently hold EIT or PE License in one or more statesAbility to obtain PE License in one or more statesDirects and oversees routine and advanced technical work performed by others on assigned projects and maintains quality standards of all assigned projectsExcellent verbal communication skills; Comfortable and effective communicator with team, clients, management, etc., choosing the right mode of communication for the situation and relaying the right messageAbility to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teamsAbility to gain and maintain unescorted access at client sitesStrong technical writing skills and attention to detailStrong coordination and team-building skills; demonstrated ability to work across disciplines, divisions, and teams. Ability to assess and understand team strengths and weaknesses and adjust level of support/oversight as appropriateAbility to motivate team and achieve goals through positive, winning attitude and effective leadership style which is consistent with ENERCON’s Defining Excellence fundamentalsProblem-solving and general scientific evaluation skillsProficient in Word and Excel#LI-SH7
