About the opportunity
Nuclear Power Programmes are delivering client critical works to some of our major UK and European Projects. Our embedded teams are delivering support to Hinkley Point C (New build power station in the South West), Sizewell C (located in the South East), helping develop technologies in SMR (Small modular Reactor) capability and working towards building Poland's first Nuclear Power station.
Working in both client facing and internal roles we are delivering major programme and project management capabilities throughout the project lifecycle. We are driving to deliver safe, high quality and to time solutions by thinking innovatively and working collaboratively.
Amentum are currently recruiting a Civil Work Engineer who will produce reactive and quality technical answers to requests raised by the CW contractor to secure the fastest construction progress on site. Key responsibilities will be\:
Check and review technical answers and deliverables previously issued by the backoffice teams and updated by the JDO team (EPR-E staff and NNB engineering subcontractor working on the detailed design) Manage the priorities and drive the activities of the engineering contractor Interact with EPR-E back office regarding civil design interfaces and interact within the Joint Design Office (JDO) organisation with EPR-E client (project and intelligent customer) in order to support the overall project Interact within the JDO with the other disciplines in order to support the overall project Support the team management regarding the overall needs of the civil team (technical assessment, inputs clarification, coordination, etc) Look over the continuity and the consistency of the design modified by the JDO team Ensure that methods, referential, tools, process and delegated authority from EPR-E back-office teams are complied with *Amentum will inspire and empower you to deliver your best work so you can evolve, grow and succeed – today and into tomorrow.
