For the role of Senior Commercial Growth Strategist (CJE), we expect you to:

Optimize our underwriting approach. On one hand, to scale up our business while keeping financial loss within bounds. On the other hand, to maximize the automation of the approval process to support our STP ambitions.

Optimize our pricing strategy, balancing four important dimensions: value-based pricing, risk-based pricing, customer price sensitivity and market influence.

Optimize our financial plan, striving for steep NII growth and crossing the 12% RoE hurdle, through the construction of a foundational commercial strategy plan

While striving for this impact, you will be expected to:

Gain a profound understanding of the market and our customers’ behaviour.

Proactively contribute and take responsibility to ensure the Tribe reaches its business goals by voicing your ideas, bringing solutions and challenging the status quo when needed.

Take ownership and responsibility for the end-to-end execution of projects: challenging, supporting and steering your fellow team members, as well as stakeholders across other tribes.

Determine and set-out areas for improvement based on process and data analysis.

Understand and apply business principles and external regulation.

As our Senior Commercial Growth Strategist (CJE), you will also need:

Fluency in English (knowledge of Dutch or French is a plus)

Clear communication skills to peers, stakeholders and senior management (including the exco of ING BE): written and oral

An entrepreneurial attitude: the ability to work in an autonomous way and to take initiative. To make things happen thanks to your ‘can-do’ attitude and autonomy, with diligent respect for the (risk) processes.

A structured approach towards deliveries

A data-driven, analytical, and problem-solving approach towards steering actions. Experience with tooling such as SAS and PowerBI is a plus. Strong number-crushing skills in Excel are a must.

A University degree at Master level

2 to 5 years of hands-on work experience in product management, Pricing, Finance, Credit Risk or related domains. Also, candidates with a strong analytical or CI background willing to learn

more about product management are well-suited candidates.
