CL Sr Property Analytics

General Description:  Provide expert technical support to clients and members of USI’s Commercial Lines Account Management and Sales Executive teams. Analyze, design, market, price and place property risks. Make fact-based recommendations to clients to solve their most complex insurance issues.

Responsibilities:

Provide guidance, coaching and development to Data Analytics team.Review client property program design, including structure, coverage, limits, deductibles, retention and pricing. Benchmark and make recommendations for improvement.        Review clients' risk modeling and existing insurance policies and make recommendations for improvement.Review and understand client financial statements as part of placement preparation.Assess clients’ contractual liabilities and alignment with their insurance policies and make recommendations for improvement.Recognize trends and create client-facing summaries modeling policy options.Support Sales Executives in providing analysis and proposals for prospective clients.Assess and explain clients’ total cost of risk (TCOR). Assess and explain clients’ risk profile using analytical models and resources (i.e. CAT modeling, COPE, Building Valuation, Business Income).Assess and communicate financial impact of policy and funding options.Price client risks for use in policy placement and negotiation. Complete full pre-underwriting review.Negotiate underwriting terms, conditions, and pricing with carrier underwriting partners on behalf of clients.Develop strong business relationships with external carrier partners and internal Sales Executives and Account Management teams. Provide expertise on the London and domestic wholesale markets.Work closely with claims and risk control team to develop new loss control strategies, ideas and processes.Steer the development of department policies on a national, regional, and local basis.  Promote and enhance reputation of USI with carriers and prospects.Take part in recruiting efforts and train new hires.Write and distribute regular client communication on timely topics. Remain close to largest property accounts.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:.

10 + years in a Commercial Lines agency with underwriting and technical experience. Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.Must hold or be willing to earn Property & Casualty insurance license
Industry designation such as ARM, CIC, CPCU preferred
Deep, technical knowledge of commercial insurance. Experience managing and driving results for upper-middle and large-market accounts preferred.Strong business, negotiation, and data interpretation skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable with internet-based programs and Microsoft Office products.
 Knowledge of Sagitta / ImageRight preferred, but not required.
Willingness to travel 25% to 30% of the time.
