Provide clerical support to the claims department. Responsible for managing a department shared inbox. Answer incoming calls from the department workgroup and provide a one-call resolution.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing a department shared inbox dailyFirst point of contact for member information requests and disputesCreate new manual claims as needed within same day of receiptCompletes claim payments within required timeframesUpdates Government website with claim changes as neededUpdates claims system with rebuttal status within 2 business days of receiptMake necessary changes in claims system according to payments and/or rebuttalsAnswer incoming calls from the department workgroup and provide a one-call resolutionCross-training as necessaryProvide clerical support to the claims departmentAbility to work overtime as requiredJob Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports.Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Computer Operations:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to learn and effectively use software applications such as move management, accounting/billing, HRIS, timekeeping and other applications used in the performance of job duties.Planning/Organization:
