Claim Coordinator

Job Description:

The position provides administrative and clerical support for the MSO Teams.

Job Essentials

Open and sort mail from the US postal service and upload electronic images for task assignment.  Scan and task refund checks and monitor tracking spreadsheet.Scan and upload claims and correspondence received. Print and prepare letters and misdirected documents for mailing. Create letters and tasks for medical review.   Assist Examiners with special handling of claims. Respond to and resolve administrative inquiries and questions. Projects as assigned to support teams.   Customer service calls and less complex claims processing.Maintains the minimum accuracy standard and follows up timely to meet compliance standards. 

Minimum Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to perform multiple tasks with accuracy and in a timely manner.Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.Demonstrated focus on positive customer service.

Preferred Qualifications

One year experience in a clerical capacity.One year in a customer focused setting.Experience working in a healthcare setting.

Physical Requirements

Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate supplies and equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc.For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

$17.85 - $24.26
