We are currently seeking a Senior Property Claims Manager to join our Digital Adjusting Team (DAT),to supervise a team of adjusters handling claims throughout North America. The position requires the candidate to be located in Phoenix Arizona where the candidate will be required to work in office 3 days a week on our required hybrid 3-day in office, 2-day remote schedule.
This position will be responsible for the administrative management, staff development and technical claim results for one a team of property adjusters. The role is an in-office role where the candidate will work in the office in adherence with our 3/2 hybrid schedule. The individual will collaborate with and report to the Pacific based AVP, Claim Manager and be responsible for delivering excellent financial and service results as well as a high-quality product. The position will also be responsible for developing staff, succession planning and executing strategies to achieve goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
The candidate must be both service-oriented and results-driven and must also possess excellent administrative, leadership and organizational skills. Estimating oversight for direct reports where a prior estimating background with experience in Xactimate, CoreLogic or similar system is required. Ability to oversee and drive actions to recognize exposure and provide direction and oversight to direct reports to investigate and adjust both personal and commercial property claims with exposures up to $500,000. Candidate must be able to make timely and appropriate decisions. Experience in performance management, salary administration, training, staff development, and succession planning is a strong plus. Proactively manage and ensure direct reports are completing virtual, and digital inspections of all claims ensuring staff are utilizing digital technology to evaluates damage, scope and adjuster completed estimates composed via CoreLogic estimating platform. Full knowledge of personal insurance contracts, investigation techniques, legal requirements, and insurance regulations a plus. Demonstrated ability to learn commercial property contracts. Effectively evaluate contract language and identify coverage issues. Maintain active diary providing meaningful supervisor direction on all files assigned to direct reports. Provide oversight and direction related to claim files assigned to direct reports where additional investigative actions are required managing vendors, and experts such as engineers, accountants and other experts. Recognize and pursue recovery. Recognize and identify potential fraudulent claims. Adhere to all statutory and regulatory fair claims practices. Must be an articulate communicator who is interested in helping others achieve corporate and personal objectives. A strong knowledge of Chubb's systems, procedures, claims handling philosophy and claims handling requirements/protocols are necessary. Candidate must be able to manage business relationships with internal/external customers and investigate/resolve issues and/or complaints in a fair and equitable manner. Be available for on call rotation during weekends and weekdays during times of heavy volume.Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years property claims handling experience is required along with prior Supervisory and/or Management experience with direct oversight of direct reports handling property claims. Must have prior estimate writing experience in Xactimate, CoreLogic or similar computer based estimating platform. Experience managing both in office and remote staff is desirable. Working knowledge of applicable jurisdiction is a plus. A 4-Year college degree or appx. 10-years equivalent property claims handling experience is required. Must have ability to secure Property and Casualty adjusters license within 6-months of employment.
