Claims Adjuster - Bodily Injury

As a non-attorney represented bodily injury claims adjuster on our team, you’ll independently complete coverage and liability investigations while managing both the physical damage and non-attorney represented bodily injury exposures of your claims. You’ll also support customer needs while ensuring a swift resolution. Ideal candidates will put their strong negotiation and customer service skills to use interacting with customers, insurance carriers, and others. Ongoing coaching will be provided, allowing you to feel confident in performing your job and developing relationships with our customers. This is a hybrid role. You’ll be expected to report to an office about four days per month for important meetings, training, and collaboration and will have the benefit of continued coaching from a supportive team. If you prefer an in-office environment, you’re welcome to work in the office more than four days per month.

Duties responsibilities

Making coverage decisions that determine the extent of Progressive’s liability Gathering details through interviews and investigations regarding those injured in an accidentSettling unrepresented bodily injury claims, among other thingsCalculates benefit payments and approves payment of claims within a defined monetary limit

Must-have qualifications

Four years of relevant work experience with one year in claims handling{OR} Associate's degree and three years relevant work experience with one year in claims handling{OR} Bachelor's degree and one year in claims handling

Preferred skills:

Auto and/or commercial insurance experience

Compensation

$67,725 - $68,300/yearGainshare annual cash incentive payment up to 16% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
