Job Title: Claims Adjuster -Treaty Reinsurance

Location: Aldgate, City of London

Position Type: Permanent, 35 hours per week

Hybrid: 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home

Job Purpose:

To handle claims within the London Market Claims team. Reporting to the Head of London Market Claims in the day to day operation and control of the claims function, ensuring claims are processed and settled in a timely and equitable manner, whilst constantly striving to develop and improve service and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Analysing, investigating, adjusting and settling claims from cradle to grave, under approved authority.Proactively helping manage a book of claims which includes, but not limited to: Global Engineering (mostly Construction) D&F and Global Property & Specialty XL, all part of TMHCC’s Treaty Reinsurance Underwriting portfolio, London.Excellent opportunity to work closely with a highly successful and forward-thinking Underwriting team and be part of a supportive and motivated Claims Team.Ensuring claims are processed and paid in a timely and equitable manner, whilst constantly striving to develop and improve service and quality standards.Prioritising tasks, communicating effectively and supporting the team to ensure excellent client centred and value-added service.Understanding and meeting the Lloyd’s minimum standards for responding to claims.Following the Tokio Marine HCC Values, working with integrity and professionalism.Available to join conference calls and market meetings when necessary.

Performance Objectives:  

Maintain service levels via ECF and respond promptly to various stakeholders within the claims handling function.Engagement and collaboration within the Claims Team, via group and one to one sessions.Continue to enhance the working relationship with our Underwriters, providing prompt feedback and reporting on claims matters as necessary.

Skills and Experience Specification:

Essential:

1-year minimum experience handling claims in the London Market environment, preferably Construction, Property or Treaty claims.A good knowledge of ECF and the Lloyd’s and Company Claims Schemes. Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong attention to detail.Comfortable liaising with brokers, experts, lawyers and Underwriters.Good time management, organisational and numeracy skills.Ability to work well both within a team and individually.IT literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel and Word.An agile mindset, comfortable with ambiguity and able to adapt to different priorities.Positive attitude, focused on finding solutions.Ability to build strong working relationships within the market.Demonstrated ability to articulate and clarify information effectively.

Desirable:

Obtained or working towards ACII qualification.
