Claims Advocate

Hub International Northeast is seeking a Claims Advocate for our Specialty Lines and Healthcare Divisions. The ideal candidate should have 3+ years of experience in handling claims. Specialty clams such as E&O, D&O Cyber and crime claims are a plus. Fluency in and understanding of litigation terms and process is essential.  Experience with long term care and skilled nursing facility (SNF) claims is a plus. Strong organizational and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Delivery of our claims value proposition to our customers and relationships;Performing a full range of claims support activities with new and existing clients including education and working on new opportunities with our sales team;Interacting with clients in-person, virtually, writing, and phone;First reporting, claim investigations/fact development, preparing and presentation of claim reviews, documenting claim files, completing claim file activities, retrieving and reviewing insurance contract language, and calculating/recommending loss settlements.Engaging in claims advocacy relating to coverage disputes on behalf of HUB clients.Consistent conveyance of an exceptional customer experience to clients, customers, and business partners. Adhering to Claims Department Standards while maintaining an appropriate volume of work product.

3+ years of experience in handling claims (Professional Liability (Healthcare and Miscellaneous E&O), D&O, Crime/Fidelity, Fiduciary, Cyber and EPL claims  is a plus)4 year college degree or equivalent work experienceExcellent organizational skills and strong attention to detailAbility to manage multiple responsibilities in a deadline driven environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProven ability to work independently and collaboratively with a teamFluency in and understanding of litigation terms and process is essential  Proficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with long term care and skilled nursing facility (SNF) claims is a plusValid P&C license is a plusCPCU or JD is a plus, but not required
