While our colleagues in Underwriting develop insurance solutions, the Claims department supports AIG policyholders through some of the most trying times. When our clients face losses large and small, we step up to help them ease the financial burdens of catastrophic events like fires and hurricanes. Our Claims team is an industry leader, offering our clients the highest levels of stewardship to drive total cost of claim improvement and consistent outcomes. Based in our Netherlands office located in the Rivium in Capelle aan den IJssel, you will be part of the Claims Casualty team consisting of currently 5 enthusiastic professionals.
What you can expect:
Gaining experience in handling casualty claims: gathering relevant information, analysing, determining the coverage of the claims, assessing liability, etc. Engaging experts and lawyers where necessary Effectively communicating with internal stakeholders and brokers, (medical) experts, clients, lawyers, victims or their legal representative Working with underwriters, turning claims experience into improved products Adhering to compliance and claims guidelines and playing an exemplary role towards other team members Ensuring adherence to best practice procedures for casualty complex claims, consistent with global best practiceOur ideal candidate
We are looking for a young professional who is eager to learn and passionate about working in a dynamic international environment with the world’s leading companies. You are a hands-on person, energized by data science, customer relations and innovation.
Our ideal candidate also has excelled in previous work/internship experience, demonstrated outstanding academic and extracurricular achievement, possesses strong analytical skills and is a team player. You are pursuant of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, graduating in 2022 or 2023 – and preferably within the domain of Business Administration, Economics, Law, Administration or comparable (international degree is an advantage). Fluency in English is important.
