Position Summary: The Claims Coordinator will oversee and manage workers’ compensation claims, internal safety-related incident claims and other property damage insurance claims (auto, utility strikes, etc.), ensuring efficient and effective resolution. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, including employees, third party administrators, insurance companies, and legal teams. The Claims Coordinator will also recommend and assist with the implementation of strategies to minimize risk and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies.   Primary Responsibilities:  + Oversee and manage the processing of all workers’ compensation claims, internal safety related claims, and other property damage insurance claims + Maintain detailed records of claims and maintain all claims files + Coordinate with employees, third party administrators, insurance companies, and legal teams to ensure a timely and accurate claim resolution + Investigate claims as needed to determine validity and extent of liability + Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies or procedures + Provide weekly updates on outstanding claims and progress made to the Safety Director and HR Director + Prepare monthly reports regarding claim status to share with the Safety Director and Executive Leadership Team + Lead weekly check-ins with appropriate parties regarding the status of all outstanding claims + Attend STIC workshops twice a year + Hold workers’ compensation third party administrator accountable to ensure progress towards a resolution + Participate in weekly L10 and quarterly rock setting meetings.  + Exemplify, promote and foster our purpose of Committed to Excellence through our Core Values of Customers, Employees, Character and Mastery.  + All other duties as assigned and required  Required Qualifications:   + Good interpersonal skills  + Tactful with the ability to hold others accountable + Excellent record keeping and organizational skills  + Excellent communication skills, written and verbal  + High level of attention to detail and accuracy  + Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)    Education and Experience:  + High school diploma required, Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as business administration preferred but applicable experience will be considered in place of education + Minimum of 3 years within a claims management role is highly preferred Commonwealth is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
