Job Responsibilities: What you will do

Our Claims Examiner will investigates and evaluates claims. Asks for guidance from more senior examiners and/or leadership for most complex claims. Incumbents have up to $10,000 reserve authority; $5,000 settlement authority and $2,500 payment authority.

Prepare files for reassignment as needed.Handle claims to conclusion.Authorizes and/or approves all claims payments within the delegated authority or within the maximum limits as outlined in company policies and procedures.Determines proper policy coverages and investigates, evaluates, negotiates and equitably settles all assigned claims cases in accordance with company guidelines and best claims practices.Documents and establishes timely reserves and executes claims payments within the delegated authority. Provides recommended action for all claims payments beyond delegated authority.Conducts settlement negotiations with claimants, policy holders and/or their attorneys.Initiates and conducts follow-ups via use of claims handling diary system and other related systems.Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization's objectives.

Qualifications: What you need to bring

2+ years' experience in insurance/claims required.Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.Must be very organized and able to multi-task.Must possess excellent organizational and time management skills.Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.Must be able to work efficiently, independently or in a team.Must possess strong research abilities.Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.

Pay Range: $45,750.00 - $60,000.00 Annual, depending on experience.
