Claims Examiner

$18.83-$22.59 / hr minimum starting pay

Job Level: Individual Contributor

 

What You Will Be Doing:

 

Responsible for courteous, objective, and efficient evaluation and processing of individual health, waiver of premium, and waiver of monthly deduction claims. Administer claim and annuity payment system. Maintain current knowledge of policy provisions and regulatory requirements.

 
Hours of 8:00am – 4:30pm. Hybrid Work Option after completion of training. 

What We're Looking For:

 

Superior tact, empathy, and communication skills.Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions.Ability to interpret and understand life and health policy provisions, medical records, tax laws, and legal documents.Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy in application of math skills.Ability to evaluate facts, exercise independent judgment, and make sound decisions based on product provisions, regulatory requirements, and company procedures.Ability to operate computer applications including mainframe, email and calendar, Internet basics, and document imaging.Ability to balance and prioritize multiple tasks.Knowledge of medical terminology and medical classification and procedure codes beneficial.Ability to perform essential functions of the job, with or without a reasonable accommodation
