Claims Handler - Motor

Key roles

This position is within the Motor Division and will include both the desk-top administration, investigation, and negotiation of a portfolio of motor claims and the handling of complaints, on behalf of a key motor client.

Specific responsibilities (including but not limited to)

Proactive end to end management of a portfolio of 150+ motor and casualty files with specific closure and quality targetsPrevious complaint handling experience would be advantageous together with familiarity of the CPC requirements.Desktop Liability investigation and determinationProactive investigation and settlement of claims in expedient and compliant mannerManagement of suppliers/vendorsProvide an excellent customer service to our clientWork as part of a team, liaising with the client and other departmentsRepresent the business in a professional and positive manner at all timesMaintain a positive attitude when faced with challenging circumstances and changing business needsBe flexible with time and willing to get involved in other areas of the business as requested by management, including travelling to other locations if necessary

Qualifications/skills

APA qualification in insuranceExperience handling motor and/or casualty claims is essentialDecision making skills and sound numeric skills requiredHigh level interpersonal and communication (verbal/written) skillsExperience working in a dynamic environmentGeneral insurance background a distinct advantageHighly motivated, proactive and with excellent influential skills to influence both internally and externallyPossess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Problem solving abilityCustomer orientated and displays a willingness to meet and understand customer’s needsDemonstrate excellent attention to detail and accuracyPossess excellent negotiating skills

Experience

Minimum 2- 3 years Motor/Casualty Claims handling experience essential.
