Claims Quality Assurance Team Leader

Role Purpose

Responsible for the maintenance and development of the Claims Vendor QA framework, design and delivery of the vendor audit programme and the management, development and coaching of the Claims Vendor QA team.

Works collaboratively with internal and external business partners to ensure vendor compliance with COG Best Practices, Claims Vendor Management processes and all applicable legal and regulatory requirements. 

Continuously improves the technical quality and operational performance of the claims product delivered by our vendors, measuring compliance through the use of technical file and operational reviews. 

Facilitates calibration of QA process through peer review and feedback and partners with various levels of internal and external claims management to analyse and communicate findings, recommend solutions, and assist in the development of meaningful remediation action plans. 

Key responsibilities: 

Work collaboratively with business partners, including Line of Business Claims teams, Claims Quality Assurance and Claims Vendor Management, to support the delivery of the EMEA claims quality assurance plan to maintain the cycle of performance improvement within the Claims Division Leads the management of the vendor audit programme across EMEA Maintenance and development of Claims vendor QA framework, procedure, process, scope, tools, systems and associated documentation Build and maintain relationships with key business partners and internal stakeholder (IT, Compliance, Internal Audit, Legal, etc.) to drive improvements in the Claims vendor QA model Creation and delivery of annual vendor audit schedule in accordance with Chubb Third Party Risk Management Framework Conducts claim technical and operational quality reviews of claims vendors Management of external auditor panel and their delivery of vendor audit services Complete peer reviews, providing feedback and mentorship to other Chubb auditors and external auditor panel Ensure remediation plans are put in place where necessary in accordance with Chubb Best Practice standards Provide consultation and advice to Claims Vendor Management as they manage execution and delivery of remediation plans by their vendors Work collaboratively with the Delegated Underwriting Authority team to assess and risk rate issues identified through the cover holder audit programme Production of Claims vendor audit reporting for stakeholders and relevant Claims Vendor Management committees and forums Attend and present as necessary at relevant Claims Vendor Management committees and forums Management, development and coaching of the Claims Vendor QA team

Requirements & Experience:

Bachelors degree in related field (desireable) or proven insurance related experience Professional qualifications in insurance/audit (desirable) Knowledge of insurance industry and claims handling (TPA and insurer perspective)  5 or more years of technical claim adjusting experience with specialization in two major lines of business (Property, Liability, Marine, etc…)  Fluent in second European language (desirable)  Experience in operational audit/claims technical quality audit/vendor management (desirable) Effective communications and interpersonal skills to be capable of dealing a diverse group of multinational internal business partners, external partners and customers Experience of leading projects and ability to present to a wide range of buiness partners on sophisticated issues.  Experience of delivering presentations and training to a variety of groups is desirable Proven knowledge of, and experience with, software applications, including multiple claim systems, web-based systems, and MS Office, with particular focus on Excel spreadsheets/charts/pivot tables Ability to dissect QA data sets, identifies root causes/trends Excellent time management and organisational skills Must be able to excel independently and in team environment Flexibility to work within multiple time zones Flexibility to accommodate on-site audit fieldwork with trips of up to 1-2 weeks
