Job Summary:

The Claims Representative will investigate, evaluate and resolve bodily injury and property damage claims.

 

 Essential Functions:

Review, investigate, evaluate, process, and resolve primarily bodily injury claims and some property damage claims. Conduct liability analysis, establish, and maintain appropriate reserves. Evaluate and negotiate settlements with plaintiff attorneys and claimants directly. Oversee independent adjusters handling of claims. Review and adjust service invoices. Conduct periodic file reviews to ensure compliance with industry standards. File and answer arbitration papers as warranted. Other duties as necessary.

 

Other Requirements:

Four year degree preferable or more than five years of related experience. Should be able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Should have the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from a group of managers, clients, customers, and in-house legal. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to respond to after-hour claim calls and make on-the-spot decisions. Ability to take detailed statements from all parties involved in claims (accident).
