Job Description

The Claims Analyst will be responsible for processing negotiating, and settling product liability claims for FBIN products globally.

This role is eligible for a hybrid schedule, reporting to our office in Deerfield, IL. 

RESPONSIBLIITIES:

Independently manage assigned claims throughout the claim lifecycleEvaluate claims for validity and proper valuationCollaborate with technical experts to execute product testingValidate cause of claim against known or unknown defects and review findings with FBIN technical expertsOpen VOC or CAPA requests as necessaryDevelop strategies to manage claims to an appropriate and timely resolutionNegotiate claim settlements up to designated authority levelClose and process claims in a timely fashionReceive claims through various channels including phone, email, mail, worklist or the contact centerOpen claims by creating tickets within the claims management system while ensuring accurate and detailed documentation Communicate with claimants to gather information including photographs, statements, and evidenceRegularly communicate with external stakeholders including insurers, attorneys, sales reps, builders, plumbers, retailers, wholesalers, and consumersReceive, process, and store evidenceSupport team and cross functional projects and continuous improvement effortsMonitor claim trends to mitigate future risk

Qualifications5+ years of experience in claims management  Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with all levels of staff, customers, suppliers, and operationsProficient in processing and communication tools: SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, and internet navigationAbility to manage multiple tasks and priorities in fast paced, changing environmentAbility to travel up to 10%

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $45,000 USD - $77,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
