We're actively seeking a reliable, full-time, Class 5 Driver (with Air license)/ Plant Operator to work in a hybrid role

Responsibilities:
Driver Responsibilities:Competently performs pre-trip and post-trips inspections with the intent of identifying and communicating minor and major defects to the Transportation Supervisor, and also completes daily driver log book using HOS application on mobile device.Loads and unloads truck by placing and securing items in such a manner that prevents damage to the products and truck, regular lifting will be required;Ensuring all materials are properly packaged, and orders are fully complete and in accordance with the packing slip prior to trip departure. Should exceptions arise, drivers are to communicate directly to the Operations Manager for guidance;Deliver and collect products/waste containers in accordance with scheduled route and serves customers by understanding, resolving and/or forwarding customer questions. Continuously provides an unwavering commitment to meeting customer demands and requirements on a daily basis;Diligently completes Daniels' commercial vehicle cleaning and disinfecting protocol on a daily basis;Maintains the cleanliness of the truck cab using cleaners provided by the company (i.e. wiping down dashboard, cleaning windows and mirrors, removing all personal items and debris from vehicle, refraining from smoking as it is strictly prohibited in all Daniels vehicles);Accurately records information on packing slip and manifest, ensuring compliance with TDG Regulations;Maintains safe operation by complying with organization operational policies, procedures and standards, as well as local driving rules and regulations;Operates vehicle in a defensive manner, such as to prevent motor vehicle accidents;Complies with all environmental & health and safety policies and procedures;Inspects all waste at pick-up for packaging to ensure adherence to compliance regulations;Completes all other duties required as requested by supervisor/management
Plant Operator responsibilities:Manual handling (hand washing using a high-pressure power hose)Labor intensive activities Handling 45 pounds & operating machineryManaging a 10-point quality inspection of emptied medical collectors for re-useManaging inventory per manifests for delivery driversTroubleshooting the washline system (container washing + sanitization system)Being crossed trained to manage our autoclave machine (a pressure chamber to melt materials)Adhering to safety codes and conductRequirements:Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as required*Schedule: Mon - Fri (start time varies between 4:00am - 8:00am)*Every month there will be an out of province run that will consist of upto 4 days away from home (home on the weekends)*Accomodation arranged and meals paid for any time away from homeExcellent organizational and time management skillsOccasionally lifting, pushing pulling weights of sixty pounds or moreClass 5 with air LicenceMinimum of 12 months verifiable, related behind the wheel driving experience (within last 36 months);Clean CVOR and Driver’s Abstract (dated within last 30 days);Ability to pass all pre-employment requirements, such as reference check, background check, pre-employment medical test and a driver's road test or equivalent;Ability and knowledge to safely load and properly block, brace, and secure materials;Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role;Ability to establish and maintain relationships with all customers;Ability to drive the vehicle safely in accordance with all traffic regulations;Ability to complete compliance paperwork and all shipping documents/bill of ladings;Ability to work flexible hours (such as holidays and weekends) in order to complete routes in accordance with schedules;Ability to adhere to all internal policies, as well as all federal and provincial legislative requirements;Ability to perform other duties as required by Management.$20 - $23 an hourJob stability – as an essential service to healthcare we are non-seasonal and recession proof.Opportunities for overtime – we always need extra hands on deck so overtime opportunities are plentifulConsistent work hours – Monday – Friday positionBenefits – Full time roles are provided benefits, sick leave and vacation leavePermanent position – This is a Full-time permanent role of up to 40 hours per weekCompetitive salary – This position is offering an hourly rate of between $20-$23/hrSafe work environment – We supply above and beyond the standard PPE protocols for safe handling of medical waste – find out more about how we protect you at
