Job Description:

Commensurate with the position of Classification Management Officer (CMO), incumbent is responsible for technical skills and experience for the receipt, custody, issue, safeguarding, accounting for, and, when necessary, the destruction of program classified material within Proprietary Business Unit.  As the on-site security specialist, the CMO is responsible for the maintenance of up-to-date records and the submission of required accounting reports. CMO adhere to record retention policies, safeguard information, and retrieve data more effectively. The CMO interacts with internal and external customers or Government security officials in performance of security duties.  The incumbent is responsible for supporting and enacting all L3Harris policies including the protection of intellectual property.

Essential Functions:

Provide classified information management support to Strategic Missions Systems DivisionRegister classified hard and soft copy data material and update related records for program’s useMaintain a classified information tracking database and conduct an inventory annually of classified holdings (100%) Ensure that all classified material shipped is packaged and shipped in compliance with the provisionsReceive, receipt for, and ensure the safeguarding and accounting for incoming and outgoing classified shipmentsPerform routine destruction of classified material in accordance with customer requirementsMust be proficient in Microsoft Office products to efficiently support the programs security teamInterface with Contract Program Security Officers (CPSOs) and other program support functions

Qualifications:

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.An active Top-Secret clearance is initially required with eligibility for SSBI to acquire Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) access along with the ability to maintain one.Must voluntarily participate in the sponsors polygraph program.Must be able to lift over 25lbs.

Preferred Additional Skills:

Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing.Must be able to deal with people at all levels of the organization, sometimes under stress.Possession or pursuit of 2-year degree preferred.Basic knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM). Should be a self-starter with initiative, work independently and as a member of a team.
