Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a Linux System Admin III to perform task based and project based work.
Responsibilities You will receive tasks from a variety of sources to include Email, IM, phone, ticketing systems and in person.You will self-identify projects and also receive them from the customers.You will perform server administration, software installs and configuration, hardware installs and configuration, software troubleshooting and problem resolution.You will work directly with RedHat Satellite. We use various methods to record work done (ticketing system, SharePoint, etc..)Candidate will need the ability to partner with other IT teams such as corporate cyber security, firewall and proxy teams.You will work directly with vendors to solve complex hardware and software issues.All work will need to be performed onsite due to the nature of this work. Qualifications BS/BA in CS or IT related field and two (2) years of IT experience. In lieu of a degree, an additional 6 years of experience is applicable.U.S. Citizenship is required per contract.Must have an active DOE Q Clearance Minimum to start or DoD Top Secret with reciprocity.Must live in the Albuquerque area and work onsite due to the nature of the work.Linux Server System Administration & UNIX experience at least 2 yearsRHEL system administration experience.Familiarity with computer network protocols and network management technologiesSkill utilizing software diagnostic tools and the ability to conduct appropriate troubleshooting processes and conduct appropriate upgradesAbility to define systems requirements based on user/client needs, cost, and required integration with existing applications, systems, or platforms.Ability to define technical standards and functionality tests, and to develop specifications, prototypes, or initial user guides.Experience in customer service, good with communication skills with customers, vendors, and database administratorsDesired:
Prior working experience with Department of Energy or Department of Defense infrastructureRHEL Satellite administration experienceSTIGS implementation experienceAbility to research, assemble, and evaluate information or data regarding industry practices or applicable regulatory changes and recommend sound, practical solutions to complex issues.Automation platforms such as Ansible, VmWare, Python at least 1-3 yearsExperience leading and implementing large technical solutionsRHCE/CCNAExperience in Bash, PowerShell, or other scripting language for automating System Admin tasks or troubleshooting existing processesExperience with container technology, such as Kubernetes, RKE, Docker, etc.Virtualization, servers, storage, and networking equipment experienceESXI experience
