Overview of the Role:
The Asset Manager will be responsible for the commercial and operational performance of an asset, overseeing all activities and acting as the central contact point for internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will drive and manage all commercial aspects concerning operations and asset management of the projects. The ideal candidate will be willing to expand their technical and commercial skills to support the growth of the company. In addition, this specific role gives the opportunity to become part of the Asset Management team, managing a specific portfolio of assets and learning best in class operational management skills.
Key responsibilities:
Commercial management of a portfolio of renewable assets (onshore, and offshore wind, photovoltaic, batteries, hybrid projects, or any other technology that is suitable of investment within the funds commitments), either under development, construction, or operation, and across different geographies. Experience in offshore will be highly valued.Management of Technical and Commercial Management Agreement providers (TCMAs). Oversight, promotion, and enhancement of the asset’s performance.Management, together with other members of the team and with the TCMA, of the main operational contracts of the assets.Coordination and oversight of different workstreams within the asset together with the Fund Finance Team, the Head of Revenues, the Investment Team and the Divestment Team.Preparation and management, with the support of the external contractors, of the assets budget.Update of rolling cash forecasts to identify any potential breach or upside, and management of funding of projects in collaboration with the Fund Finance team.Managing and validating the monthly closures, invoicing, and payment supervision.Support during the formulation of the annual accounts and the audit processes.Management of the distributions to investors from the asset perspective.Management the financing agreements and comply with all the corresponding undertakings from the project side to maximize distributions.Support Oversight TaxManage tax advisorsOversight asset tax compliance with the support of the external contractorsSupport delivery of asset transfer pricing exercises if applicableSupport monthly / Quarterly Reports: control and analysis of performance of operating assets against approved budgets and P&L. Detailed analysis will include production figures, liquidated damages and insurance claims, and any imbalance in Opex.Support delivery asset management monthly / quarterly pack. Collect, review and provide once validated all appropriate information required by the AMC in relation to the fund portfolio. Additionally, produce comprehensive reports to the AMC and investors on the performance of the operating assets, and any ad hoc request.Support the development of best-in-class reporting standardsSupport the Fund Finance team or the Investors Relations team with investor reporting process and ad hoc queriesOversight and coordination preparation of financial Reporting Use of the portfolio reporting tool to identify asset level performance and up to date issuesReport directly to the responsible Asset Controller and work alongside the other asset and fund controllers and managers.Qualifications & Experience Required
Minimum 3 years relevant working experience in commercial asset management, asset management or project management.Offshore experience/knowledge will be highly valuedFinancial knowledge of renewable energy projectsTechnical knowledge of different renewable technologies is desirableHybrid interest in commercial and technical aspects of asset managementTransaction experience desirable (from origination to execution)Financial modelling experience desirableRelevant experience of power industry requiredFluent English required with additional European languages preferableExperience with Project finance documentation and interaction desirableExperience in management accounting, investment review, tax structuringCompetencies Required
