**Job Title: Clean Room Sort & Tally**
**Job Description**
The Clean Room Sort & Tally position involves refurbishing surgical instruments through a detailed cleaning and sorting process. This role requires handling instruments ranging from 10" to 30" in length, and ensuring they are thoroughly cleaned and appropriately sorted.
**Responsibilities**
+ Move cases through a metal detector before starting the cleaning process.
+ Gown up in clean room gear at the start of each shift.
+ Move bins weighing up to 50 lbs into a dishwasher-style unit (infrequent heavy lifting).
+ Perform manual sorting, cleaning, power washing, and chemical cleaning of surgical instruments.
+ Label and sort instruments into their appropriate bins post-cleaning.
+ Sweep daily and mop twice per week as part of all-hands duty.
**Essential Skills**
+ Ability to stand for the entire shift.
+ Willingness and capability to gown up in clean room gear.
+ Quality mindset and attention to detail.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Entry-level candidates are welcome; no specific experience required.
+ No high school diploma or GED required, but necessary for supervisory roles.
+ Cannot take any days off in the first 30 days, including Saturdays if scheduled for overtime.
+ Willingness to cross-train in other core competencies.

**Work Environment**
Clean, air-conditioned work environment in a brand-new facility. Employees must gown up and gown down in full clean room gear, including smock, booties, gloves, beard net, hair net, plastic visor, and safety glasses. The dress code requires closed-toed tennis shoes and work pants/jeans with a plain shirt. The shift runs from 5 AM to 1:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with the possibility of working one Saturday a month for overtime. The facility has a slightly sterile smell similar to a hospital and a consistent humming noise like a dishwasher.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chandler, Arizona.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.
