Main duties
· To maintain all areas to an agreed level of cleanliness, as directed by the building specific cleaning schedual and relevant SLA's, carrying out all daily, weekly and periodic tasks as directed by the Cleaning Supervisor.
· Ensure that the service is delivered effectively and efficiently to a high standard
· To ensure all equipment is kept clean, well maintained and is a safe working order, i.e. PAT Tested, any items not complying should be removed from circulation and reported to your Supervisor .
· To have a full knowledge and understanding of all of your deignated cleaning area, including the agreed work specification and time allocated to facilities.
· To have a full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and approved chemicals used by Mitie at AWE and to attend all necessary training to be enable to fulfil this requirement.
· To comply with the requirements of Health & Safety, other relevant legislations and AWE policies.
· To be aware of material expenditure and avoid unnecessary waste.
· To understand and observe Mitie and AWE site rules at all times.
· To wear protective clothing (PPE) as issued.
· To deal with any complaints that fall within the job holder's duties and report these immediately to the Cleaning Supervisor.
· To perform miscellaneous cleaning duties as apparent or as instructed by the Cleaning Supervisor.
· To carry out work in a safe and diligent manner
· To build positive and productive working relationships with all customers, delivering excellent customer service and seeking ways to continuously improve and exceed expectations
· Flexible approach for ad hoc tasks, and to support colleagues where needed.
Person Specification
· This is a part time late evening post: 4 x 5 -hour evening shifts 17:-00 -22:00, 20 hours per week working at height
· Rota for covering x2 Fridays per month 3 hrs per shift
· Be open and honest, be self-driven and determined
· Strive for continuous improvements in service delivery
· Able to use own initiative
· Successfully complete House-keeping competencies every 6 months to ensure continued compliance
· Maintain any records as requested by manager/Mitie procedure: Cleaning check sheets and machinery check sheets
· Follow all AWE & Mitie security procedures
Health and Safety responsibilities
· Always Follow Group and company policies and procedures;
· Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment;
· Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received;
· Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system;
Information Security
· Ensure compliance with Mitie's information security procedures in all activities;
· Proactively identify and report security risks to your manager;
· Report actual and suspected security incidents;
