Cleaning Supervisor - Alkimos Beach Primary School

We have a great opportunity for a Cleaning Supervisor to join our school cleaning team at Alkimos Beach Primary School. Our cleaning teams hold an important role within our local communities by providing a high standard of cleaning services throughout school facilities. 

As a key member of our team, you will be primarily responsible for supervising and coordinating the work of cleaning staff, including scheduling shifts and ensuring adequate coverage. This role is working afternoons Monday to Friday from 13:30 – 18:30 with varying hours during school holidays and potential for some overtime occasionally

WHAT YOU'LL DO

A day in the life of our Cleaning Supervisor is incredibly diverse, and you can expect it will involve some of the following responsibilities:

Train new employees on cleaning procedures, use of equipment, and health and safety standards. Inspect buildings to ensure quality standards are met and maintained Address and resolve any issues or complaints regarding cleaning services promptly Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and equipment inventory Collaborate with management to implement and enforce company policies and procedures and to report any issues or concerns   Maintain a positive and professional demeanour with staff and school  Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to cleaning staff.  Able to complete cleaning duties when required particularly if there is a staff shortfall or if staff are in need of assistance Be able to complete any emergency cleaning tasks while on duty  

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

Proven experience as a team leader, Cleaning Supervisor or similar role.  Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.  Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.  Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively Ability to communicate effectively Ability to follow instructions and implement changes where needed
