Cleanroom Technician (3rd Shift)

We are seeking a Cleanroom Technician (3rd shift) in our Newtown, CT facility where we produce advanced material products at the sub-micron level.  Our Cleanroom Technician is responsible for detailed final assembly and inspection of our products.3rd shift schedule is Sunday - Thursday, 11:00pm - 7:30am

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Complete Assemblies and Sub-assemblies, operate precision measuring equipment, complete fine cleaning and complete Clean Room tasks Bond and assemble small components and assemblies Clean and inspect components and assemblies Evaluate procedures and recommend changes or modifications for efficiency and adaptability to production Perform scheduled inspection of work (including documentation of results) and verify conformance of finished workpiece to specifications Confer with engineers, production personnel or others to resolve issues Maintain safe, clean, orderly and organized work areas Accurate and timely completion and organization of required paperwork Perform all other duties, as assigned

Education & Experience

High School diploma or equivalent required 2-year technical degree desirable 2-4 years relative experience in at least one of the critical Finishing functions Experience with clean room operations, interferometer equipment, lapping equipment and precision measuring equipment Experience with precision measurement methods and systems Ability to read and understand engineering drawings/blueprints and process procedures Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and procedures closely while offering suggestions for continuous improvement Experience with networked PC based computer system (spreadsheets, Email, MRP systems)

Skills

Hands-on individual with keen interest in position with varied tasks Goal oriented with a proven record of getting work done on time High mechanical and mathematical aptitude Experience with use of various measuring tools Experience with process improvement initiatives

Physical Requirements

Able to frequently lift/push/pull objects that are 25 pounds, or lighter, repeatedly Able to sit, stand, bend, squat and walk about the facility Walking/standing a minimum of eight (8) hours per day
