Overview:

We are seeking a cleared Marine Designer to join our client working at Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) in Portsmouth, VA.

Description:

This position requires application of all qualifications to support the Hull, Mechanical and Electrical Technical codes with the preparation of Technical Working Documents (TWD) such as, Job Summaries, Task Group Instructions (TGI's), and Deficiency Forms (DF's).Ship check for interferences.Develop estimates and prepare and issue technical working documents.Utilize technical manuals, drawings, sketches, hit kits, job summaries, plans and Engineering Method & Standards in order to develop Statements of Work.

Qualifications:

Active clearance. Either confidential or secret.Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience within drafting/design or field engineering pertaining to the marine/ship industry. CVN class ship experience. (CVN 68, USS Nimitz experience specifically would be ideal)Able to obtain CAC, NAVSEA badge and NMCI account.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
