We are seeking a strong motivated individual to be part of Clearpool’s OMS Development team to build and enhance our core real time trading platform. The OMS developer will continually interact with multiple teams including product/traders/operations to implement new robust trading features and improve on our existing offerings. A successful candidate has a keen interest in developing low latency trading systems in Java.

Responsibilities

Design & develop robust software solutions for Clearpool’s Order Management SystemDevise new algorithms and data structures for target environment and platform attributes in alignment with architectural patternsCreate thorough test cases to ensure software stability and reliabilityCollaborate with traders and product team in researching and implementing changes to the trading systemCommunicate with operations teams about new features and existing behaviors Support production issues, including independently completing root-cause analysis and diagnosis.

Requirements

BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience2+ years of professional core Java development experienceStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong verbal and written communication skills; eager to ask questions; able to clearly explain ideasStrong collaborative and team skillsExperience with JUnit testingExperience with multi-threaded programming

Nice To Haves

2-4 years of professional experience in financial services Strong understanding of financial markets and electronic trading systemsExperience with Equity markets and/or derivatives, such as OptionsExperience with optimizing software performance and reducing latencyFamiliar with the FIX protocolFamiliar with real time market data processing

Salary:

$61,600.00 - $114,400.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
