Job Overview:
The Clerk position is responsible for the processing of all diet orders, menus for the facility, and production tallies for the cooks. The Clerk assists on the patient tray line during meal service while holding additional cafeteria duties.

Required:
High School diploma or equivalent requiredPreferred:
One year of food service experience and basic knowledge of normal and therapeutic nutrition preferredScheduling Requirements
Variable days and hours during the week, such as 6:00am-2:30pm and 10:30am-7:00pmEvery other weekendPer DiemEssential Functions:
Answers telephones, taking messages and relaying information as necessaryAssists patients and families with menu selections and offers menu substitutions as appropriateAssists with patient tray line and delivers patient trays as per identification safety goalsCommunicates with dietitian regarding patient food preferences and identifies patient high risk menusCompletes meal tally for each prepared meal and notifies cooks of special items to be preparedCoordinate all aspects of menu preparation in accordance with patient meal scheduleCorrects modified menus in conjunction with physician diet orderMaintains adequate menu supplyPrepares production reports and generates to appropriate areasProcesses Cerner diet ordersPerforms all other duties as assignedAdditional Information:
