Tax Clerk - Decatur, IL

Responsibilities:Assist with miscellaneous state filings such as annual reports and business licenses.Maintain miscellaneous filings calendar for the state tax team and Global Business Services group.Analyze, complete and review necessary filing information.Prepare and complete online or mailed filings with corresponding payment requestsProcess and mail paper filings certified mail in addition to processing corresponding manual check requestsMaintain state estimate and extension calendarsProcess tax return, quarterly estimate, audit and notice payments, and assist with payment tracking.Assist with compiling documents for tax auditsAssist with investigating notices received from taxing jurisdictionsAssist with maintaining master recordsMonitor tax jurisdiction correspondence/web pages/emails.Analysis of taxing jurisdiction questions and correspondence.Research validity and assist with a response.Discuss notices with taxing jurisdictionsMaintain records retention for the ADM NA tax group.Complete monthly sales by state and accruals spreadsheetsAssist with customer and vendor W-9 requests.Scan and electronically file/organize notices, returns and other documentsAssist the ADM tax team with various special projects.Complete duties as assignedJob Requirements:The ideal candidate must be able to work and adapt in a fast paced evolving tasks/duties/projects environment while being a vital support figure within the ADM NA tax team. Candidate must be able to multi-task and prioritize assigned tasks/projects while balancing standard deadlines. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of basic accounting principles (i.e., basic accounting experience a plus).  It is preferred the candidate possess equivalent ADM experience and/or some college business or accounting classes, but not required. Must possess general computer skills and the willingness to learn new computer applications.Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel and Word) a necessary requirement. A plus is prior experience with ADM system applications (e.g., APGO, GLGO, DocumentDirect, Maximo, Oracle JDE, Business Objects, etc.). The candidate must be dependable, on time daily, able to work under pressure, highly motivated and able to work independently. A team player mentality with good communication skills along with the ability to work in a group setting is a must requirement. The position requires operating a keyboard/personal computer, calculator, telephone, and sitting for prolonged time periods.Excited about this role but don’t meet every requirement listed?
