Our division consists of four global brands with a shared mission – to be your trusted partner for product decoration. **POSITION SUMMARY:** The Steel/Polymer Cliché Platemaker role is to produce high quality polymer and steel clichés to customer specifications and per company policies, procedures and guidelines. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Produces etched and unetched clichés according to assembly orders + Inspect raw materials for quality; inspects incoming plates and cleans as required. + Delivers internal clichés to other departments as needed. + Inspects finished plates for quality. Close work orders in system. + Requisition department supplies. + Monitors inventory of raw materials and makes adjustments as needed. Notifies manager of discrepancies. + Performs general housekeeping and maintenance according to room cleaning schedule. + All other duties as assigned + Maintains focus on continuous improvement by applying 80/20, PLS, and USa principles/techniques and makes process improvement recommendations to management **POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:** **Education:** High School or GED, a trade school degree in a related area preferred, or demonstrated experience. **Experience/Skills:** + Basic mathematical skills + Basic computer skills + Experience with most varieties of hand and power tools + Good communication skills required to follow direction, work in a team and discuss machines with customers. + Continuously or frequently has to analyze, detect, inspect, interpret, measure, read and use good judgment. **OTHER REQUIREMENTS AND CONDITIONS** **Physical/Visual Activities or Demands:** Physical/visual activities or demands that are commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job.
