Client Group Operations & Reporting Analyst

Who you'll work with:
The Client Group Analyst (CGA) resides within AB’s Investor Services division, supporting the Global Client Group. The Client Group is responsible for delivering the full scope of the firm’s investment services to corporations, endowments, foundations, public funds, and financial
institutions. The Analyst plays a key role in supporting the Client Group’s Sales and Client Service Advisors in servicing client accounts and responding to client requests in a timely and accurate manner.


We are seeking a San Antonio based Analyst to join our Institutional Client Group Operations & Reporting team in Global Technology & Operations.

What you'll do:
This position will be responsible for supporting the servicing efforts of our Institutional Investment Management Teams. The Analyst is responsible for delivering excellent customer service through coordination with various departments to address client inquiries, provide client data and reports, and execute quickly and accurately to route client guidelines and process of cashflow trades. They will report to a San Antonio TX based Manager and work directly with teams across global locations to support their reporting and client servicing needs.

Describe the applications and business or enterprise functions the role supports:
Ensuring exceptional servicing to our external Institutional Clients by supporting the data, reporting, account trade orders (cash flow), guideline and restriction routings and customer inquiry needs of our internal partners and third-party firms (i.e. recordkeepers, investment managers, custodians, trustees and consultants) with whom we partner to support in our business.
Team members execute on a number of tasks ensuring accurate processing of orders, monitoring and maintaining scheduled reporting requirements. We utilize various internal and vendor systems and collaborate with multiple departments to obtain information needed to fulfill client reporting requests by the designated deadline. The team performs validation of accuracy for each of the respective tasks through quality control review.


The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Own the take-on and execution of custom client reporting, including compliance certifications and due diligence reporting
• Route and monitor client guideline and restriction requests
• Support the implementation of regulatory requirements for client accounts

Partner with Senior Analyst Team on New Client Onboarding reporting needs, reporting changes resulting from account closings and complex client requests
• Assist with data and reporting utilized in client review and marketing presentations
Troubleshoot and respond to client inquiries about various topics including:
○ account balances, holdings, and activity
○ fund transfers
○ statement reconciliation
○ online account access, navigation and other trouble shooting

Keep the Client Managers and Client Service Advisors informed of client account activities, and escalate issues when necessary

Liaise with various departments (including Sales, Portfolio Management, Legal, and Operations) to maintain client relationships and fulfill client requests; interact with senior professionals throughout the firm

• Help maintain client management database and provide general support to third party firms, advisors and internal teams
• Initiate client directed cash flow requests
• Assist with departmental projects and initiatives as needed

What we're looking for:
An ideal candidate has experience in managing relationships through sales or supporting sales teams.
• Bachelor degree, preferably in Finance, Economics, or Marketing, with an excellent academic record
• 1-3 years of experience in a professional capacity; industry experience is preferred but not required
• Experience with Institutional business is a plus but not required
• Industry licenses are a plus but not required
• Professional, personable, and responsible in manner. Positive, can do attitude.
Demonstrate initiative and good judgment coupled with the ability to work well under pressure, multitask and shift priorities as needed.

• Proficient in the use of typical office desktop packages, such as Outlook, Word, Excel PowerPoint, Visio and Access
• Experience with SQL or VBA is a plus
