Client Manager / Auditor

Purpose of the position

To conduct on-site audit against the requirements of relevant standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc.) or ESG, GHG, SRA, NEA, or any related management system/scheme assessment

To provide expertise, produce surveillance and initial audit reports, and make recommendations for certification decisions.

To promote the BSI product offering and solutions to our clients with the view of improving their business performance, managing risk, and “Making excellence a habit”

Key responsibilities & accountabilities

Undertake management system audits in accordance with BSI requirements.

Prepare audit reports and deliver findings to clients to ensure client understanding of the audit decision and clear direction to particular items of corrective action where appropriate.

Submit the audit report timely and reply to the report reviewer’s query promptly.

Recommend the issue, re-issue, or withdrawal of certificates, and report recommendations in accordance with BSI policy, procedures, and prescribed time frame.

Lead audit teams as required, ensuring that team members are adequately briefed so that quality of service is maintained and that effective working relationships are sustained both with Clients and within the team

Establish and develop an effective partnership with the client, which secures the commercial relationship and encourages opportunities for business development and increased client satisfaction with clients.

Provide accurate and prompt information to the customer service team, working closely with them to ensure that client records are up to date and complete and that all other internal information requirements are met.

Coach colleagues as appropriate and assist in the induction and coaching of new colleagues as requested.

Maintain and develop auditor skills, competence codes, and technical and management system standards knowledge.

Provide technical support as required to clients as well as to internal staff.

Act as a brand Ambassador for BSI. This means acting ethically, following company rules, and promoting BSI services to clients so they are able to optimize business performance.

Candidate specification               

Auditor experience and qualification in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and in the sustainability sector, such as ISO 14064-1, ISO 50001, etc.

Working experience in construction, chemical, engineering, mechanical engineering, and electrical industries. At least 2 from these. Construction is preferred.

Auditor with ISO standard knowledge in ESG and GHG (preferred)

Experience with quality management and/or environmental/health & safety management

Commercial understanding of industry compliance

Good verbal and written communication skills and an eye for detail

Be self-motivated, flexible, and have excellent time management skills

Can work under pressure

An enthusiastic and committed team player

Timeliness of closing CAP and responding to report reviewer comments

New competence codes obtained and existing codes maintenance
