The Client Project Manager, Government within the Thomson Reuters Professional Services department is responsible for delivering a positive and efficient experience during complex technical projects and implementations for external clients, including Federal, State, and Local governments for products such as HighQ and Legal Tracker. This includes managing the projects’ planning, design, progress, and closure, holding project staff accountable for delivering results, as well as serving as the primary point of contact for both external firms and internal teams.

We are currently looking for a driven, responsive, and client-focused Project Manager with a background in working with both technical teams and end users. This role will have an initial focus on delivering project management services for technical engagements for Federal, State, and Local government HighQ clients, with a secondary focus expanding to project management for additional products and services as needed. 

About the Role
In this opportunity as a Client Project Manager, Government, you will:

Manage all phases of HighQ Federal, State, and Local governments migration projects.Bring appropriate internal teams (sales, technical consultants, solution consultants) together to accurately scope the feasibility of projects post-sale and provide alternative solutions when projects are deemed not to be feasible.Set and manage expectations (timeframes, process, communications, etc.) with clients at the onset of projects and throughout. Lead projects through a flexible approach, including advocating for stakeholders and working with them to assess project management practices (i.e., Agile vs Scrum vs Waterfall) that best work with their goals and needs. Serve as the primary point of (meeting, phone, and/or email) contact for clients during projects and coordinating internally on behalf of teams. Collaborate with and hold internal teams (consultants, engineers, other project managers, etc.) accountable for ensuring deadlines are met and concerns are addressed promptly and appropriately. Attain the product/process knowledge needed to step in to perform hands-on project work when delegating is not an option, as well to discuss product specifics with clients when necessary. Contribute to the goals and tasks of the Professional Services, including assisting in the development of new offerings and processes and providing internal project management when needed. 

About You
You're a fit for the role if your background includes:

Based in the Mexico City, MX area.Expectation of hybrid working model with 2-3 days per week in our Mexico City office.Fluent in both written and spoken English.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (project management certification(s) preferred). 5+ years of direct project management experience.Familiarity with project management tools and best practices, including Agile and Scrum. 2+ years of experience working with Federal, State, and Local governments clients, including practical and applied knowledge of government client needs from a process, relational, software perspective.Excellent interpersonal and written communication skillsProven project management skills with a track record of delivering projects on time and within scopeStrong emotional intelligence and adaptability in communication and project managementAbility to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders and adjust approach to individual needs and prioritiesCustomer-centric approach with creative problem-solving skillsExperience working with virtual/remote teams across US time zonesProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools (e.g. Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Monday.com)
