Job Description Summary

We are seeking a San Antonio based Client Relationship Associate to join our Client Services Department in Global Technology & Operations.

AllianceBernstein Investor Services Client Services is an inbound call center comprised of teams responsible servicing AllianceBernstein (AB) shareholders, financial advisors and other teams within AB.  AllianceBernstein Investor Services  (ABIS) is the transfer agent for AB mutual funds distributed through retail intermediaries.  The members of this team leverage various desktop tools and proprietary systems to access shareholder account information, process financial transaction and maintenance and perform other functions.   

The Client Relationship Associate is a key role for our firm providing assistance to shareholders, advisors and other investment professionals who call into our service center

Applications and business or enterprise functions the role supports

The CRA serves as the “face” of AllianceBernstein to these callers and play a key role in building a positive perception of AB with existing and potential clients.  You will receive training to learn our products, systems and client service standards, and are expected to handle these interactions in a manner meeting the quality standards set by AB, its investors and the financial services industry.   As progress with your primary role allows, you will be trained to perform other responsibilities such as responding to correspondence, performing account research and handling other tasks and projects as business needs arise.  

What you'll do:

Answering calls from AB shareholders, investment professionals and internal groups

Processing account transactions and updates

Performing various forms of account research and reviewing and producing shareholder correspondence

Other tasks, project and roles as business needs arise

Role is 5 days per week (weekdays) and requires work in office for 3 days per week

The AllianceBernstein Investor Services (ABIS) Call Center is dynamic and fast paced work environment.  Volume is influenced by many conditions, such as our national and global economy, financial markets and other conditions affecting our nation and the world.   While your primary role is to represent AB with investors and financial professionals calling our service center, you will be responsible for performing a variety of other responsibilities critical to our daily operations.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn about the various products used by AB and the wealth management industry, develop strong problem-solving skills, learn about various operations within the AB transfer agent.  This role will require you effectively multi-task and shift between responsibilities. As your performance strengthens, your role will become more versatile, allowing you to learn about other areas within ABIS, which can serve as an opportunity for your professional development and career path with AB.

What we're looking for:

Knowledge of mutual fund operations is preferred, but not required

Strong written and verbal communication skills

The successful candidate will have strong organization and follow up skills

Proficient in the use of office desktop packages such as Outlook, Word, and Excel

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and able to adapt to change

Ability to work independently, when applicable, and cooperatively in a team setting

Candidate must be customer focused and extremely flexible

Demonstrate the ability to further develop skills through training and as provided through coaching and feedback

Willing to learn new applications as needed based on job requirements and changes that may take place

PC proficiency, proven ability to multi-task, excellent attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills and excellent verbal and written communication.

Knowledge within the financial industry is helpful but not required.
