About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 10 The Role: Client Service Manager Summary: This role delivers support to internal and external users of the S&P Commodity Insights energy products. The role combines training, customer care and renewals support. As a member of the Client Service Team, this colleague will work directly with both oil and gas, and hydrogen, solar, wind, batteries and carbon sequestration datasets to assist clients understand the energy transition and associated risks and opportunities. Responsibilities: Promote and advance S&P Commodity Insights energy products to our customers and internally amongst colleagues operating in China. Provide support through workflow-based presentations and mentoring. Source, create and own localized demonstrations. Understand the needs, workflows and challenges of customers in China. Provide feedback to the sales and product teams on issues related to marketing and external messaging. Represent S&P Commodity Insights solutions at regional events. Monitor the competitor landscape in China, providing feedback to the operations team. Create a positive image of S&P Commodity Insights Energy products through interaction with customers and team members. Specific Job Duties: Become an expert user of Commodity Insights energy content platforms. Provide demos to customers, prospects, user groups and at industry events, deliver webinars as required and develop supporting workflow documents when needed. Respond to client questions in a timely manner to provide customer delight in situations of one-on-one client needs. Update users about content breadth, product enhancements and new developments on a regular basis. Work collaboratively with members of the Beijing Sales team. What We’re Looking For: Basic Required Qualifications: Degree in Geoscience, Engineering, Economics or related discipline and 3 years relevant experience. Strong analytical skills and a high level of proficiency with MS applications. Familiarity with the Chinese market and with customer challenges. Ability to work as an integral part of a diverse and geographically dispersed team. Willingness to travel and attend conferences, as needed. First class presentation and software demonstration skills. Excellent Oral and written communication skills. Excellent organizational, time and project management skills. Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities in a professional and timely manner. Self-starter with proactive approach to resolving problems and issues. Highly articulate with a very good command of Chinese and English essential. Fluency in a third language is an advantage. This position will operate under normal office conditions and will include moderate phone use and moderate to heavy computer use. up to 20% mainly in China possibly with occasional trips to other countries in Asia-Pacific, as required.
