About The Role

What We’re Looking For

Our Employee Benefits & Retirement Division is excited to welcome you to our client-focused culture. Join us with your group benefits experience as our next Client Service Representative (CSR).

This is an opportunity to further develop your client service and analytical skills as a Permanent Full-Time CSR within our Employee Benefits Division.

What You’ll Do

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing all inquiries before involving the insurance company.Manage all aspects of client administration, including billing, enrollment, and general account management.Oversee health, dental, life, and disability claims, promptly resolving any issues or concerns.Resolve complex client service issues, particularly when clients are dissatisfied with responses from the insurance company.Maintain administration rights for client accounts, allowing for the addition of new employees, coverage terminations, and other account updates.Provide training to clients on the insurance company’s administration system, ensuring they can efficiently manage their accounts.Assist with employee meetings, offering support and guidance on benefits when needed.Build and maintain long-term client relationships, addressing inquiries directly or liaising with insurance carrier representatives for resolution.Handle Paid-Up Life benefits for retirees, ensuring timely management of all life claims.Attend client meetings with Advisors when required, offering support during discussions.Reach out to clients at year-end to ensure proper Healthcare Spending Account fund allocation for the upcoming year.Process annual salary updates for clients, ensuring their benefits are in line with current compensation data.Support the setup of new groups and amendments, ensuring smooth onboarding and necessary adjustments for both new and existing clients

Qualifications and expertise that pave the way for Success

2+ years of experience in the employee benefits industry with a solid understanding of employee benefits plans.Successful completion of LLQP (Life License Qualification Program) or willingness to obtain it within 6 months of joining.Strong knowledge of major Canadian insurance markets and established relationships with insurers (e.g., Manulife, Canada Life, Desjardins).Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.Typing speed of at least 55 words per minute with high attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.Strong verbal and written communication skills with a proactive approach to client communication.Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex issues effectively.Outstanding time management, multitasking, and prioritization skills, particularly in fast-paced settings.Comfortable conducting employee education sessions and client administration orientation sessions.A proactive attitude with a willingness to take on increasing levels of responsibility.
