ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Customer service functions, including: greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam roomsScheduling and confirming appointmentsPlacing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clientsPresenting and explaining fees, including processing paymentsCreating and presenting treatment plans based on the doctor's recommendations.Answering questions regarding services and costManaging medical records, charts, reports and correspondence
QUALIFICATIONS:At least one year of proven past experience helping clients in an animal or human hospital settingHigh School Diploma/GED or equivalentExcellent listening and communication skillsCompassion for pets and people—as well as awareness and understanding of others’ reactionsProven decision-making skills to choose the most appropriate course of actionThe ability to integrate new information into problem-solvingProficiency in Microsoft OfficeWillingness to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends and holidaysThe ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and be exposed to hazards associated with pets such as allergies, contagious diseases, noises, odors, bites, scratches, and animal waste
Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience and other relevant credentials. The pay range for this position is $17 to $19 per hour.
