Client Service Representative

VCA Aurora Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Client Service Representative (Veterinary Receptionist) to join our day team!

Schedule: Full-time, 10:00 am - 6 pm, with rotating weekends and some holidays required.

Compensation: $18/hr and based on experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, and other relevant credentials.


Why We Need You:
As the face of VCA, the Client Service Representative sets the tone for the practice as we build and maintain each customer's trust and confidence in our abilities. The CSR is the pivot around which the hospital operates and is responsible for:
• Customer service functions, including: checking clients in and out and answering telephones.
• Scheduling and confirming appointments.
• Heavy call volume and client contact.
• Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments.
• Assisting clients with emergencies and euthanasias.
• Answering questions regarding our specialty and emergency services.
• Managing medical records.
• Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring that facility is neat and clean at all times—both inside and outside.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong customer service orientation

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Ability to multi-task and prioritize

Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, practice management software)

Reliable and punctual with strong attention to detail

Ability to remain calm and professional in emotional or stressful situations

Prior experience in a veterinary, medical, or customer service role
