Position Overview: As a Veterinary Client Service Representative (CSR), you will be the first point of contact for our clients, both in person and over the phone. Your role will involve managing a busy front desk, scheduling appointments, handling client inquiries, and providing a supportive and empathetic experience for pet owners during their time of need. Key Responsibilities: 

As the face of VCA, the Client Service Representative sets the tone for the practice as we build and maintain each customer's trust and confidence in our abilities.   The CSR is the pivot around which the hospital operates and is responsible for: 

 

Greet and check in clients with warmth and professionalism, ensuring a positive first impression. 

Manage a high volume of incoming phone calls and emails, addressing client questions, concerns, and appointment requests efficiently. 

Schedule and confirm appointments, including emergency and specialty visits, and handle patient records with accuracy and confidentiality. 

Process payments, including insurance claims and financial transactions, and provide clients with clear explanations of costs and billing procedures. 

Coordinate with veterinary staff to ensure smooth communication between clients and medical teams. 

Handle and resolve client concerns or complaints with tact and empathy, maintaining a high level of service. 

Maintain a clean and organized reception area, ensuring a welcoming environment for clients and their pets. 

Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and inventory management as needed. 

 

Qualifications: 

Previous experience in a client service role, preferably in a veterinary or medical setting, is highly desirable. 

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, staff, and patients. 

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail. 

Ability to remain calm and composed in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. 

Proficiency with office software and electronic medical records systems. 

A compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners. 

Flexibility to work various shifts, potentially including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The pay range for this position is $22 to $24 per hour.
