Client Solutions Architect - End User Solutions (Field Services/Service Desk)

The Client Solutions Architect will act as an IT presales Solution Architect, who will be involved in the technology program on a leading UK account and for assisting the CTO, sales and Client Executives and operational teams in delivering the contracted services.

Primarily focused on expanding our portfolio footprint by creating compelling solutions based on our portfolio and the Client requirements. Working as a trusted advisor to the customers in respect of our scope of contracted services, Providing insight and guidance on future innovations and technical roadmaps.

The individual is responsible for transforming our processes, people, technology and culture, focused on the quality of client experience at all levels, and acts as a true client advocate, ensuring the client’s voice is heard in all functions and activities, and that this influences Unisys’ priorities and behaviors.

The Client Architect has a deep understanding of the client’s key IT and business challenges, focus areas and business objectives, and is able to specify business value from the client’s perspective. This role requires intimate understanding of the customer behaviors, drivers and values through data analytics, qualitative means, living the client’s life, plus virtual social interactions.

The onshore Client Architect UK works with individual teams and Global Delivery and Capability Leads to identify opportunities, deliver the contracted services and change projects. The goal is to improve performance, generate and demonstrate greater value and consistently contribute to drive up the client satisfaction and its measurement as a key account metric.

As our clients look towards a digital future, the main objective and responsibility of client architect will be to help our customers, on that journey.

The client architect candidate has an open-minded hands-on mentality, working as transparently as possible always considering possible application scenarios and use cases while planning innovations and considering future technologies.

The role will report directly to the Presales Solution Architects Leader with dotted lines to account CTO and the account Client Executive.

As the role will entail working with a client in a different time zone, evening work can be expected to meet client-scheduling needs. The candidate needs to be willing to be flexible in regards to working hours to accommodate the client needs.

Position Accountabilities & Major Tasks:

The Client Architect must gain a strong understanding of all portfolio offerings, be capable of supporting the assessment of client requirements, and robustly develop the costing and related documentation. All in order to create a high value service solution to the client.

The successful candidate will have experience as a technical and personnel leader supporting organization goals, needs and objectives through operational and strategic oversight/solution development, especially for:Digital Workplace Solutions including at least two of the following Workplace Services: Service Desk, Field Services, Endpoint Operations, Asset Management, & Managed Mobility

And optionally

Cloud and Infrastructure Services portfolio elements such as Data Centre, Windows Server Mgmt, Network Services, Citrix or other thin client and Disaster Recovery.

Major cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS and GCP with experience of designing hybrid cloud solutions.

Outsourced Applications Management and relevant disciplines in a presales environment

You will be successful in this role if you have:

·       Experience as technical lead for a major technology implementation or technical project / program

·       Bachelor degree in a technology related field or equivalent experience

·       Consultative selling knowledge/experience

·       Ability to understand specific client business operations, strategies, objectives, and needs. Translating these into requirements and the basis for compelling solutions.

·       At least 10 years’ experience with an outsourced IT provider

·       Sound experience in working with large IT Infrastructure service delivery.

·       Driven, self-motivated and distinctive personality who is able to motivate himself and others

·       Curious, hands-on and pragmatic character

·       Strong know-how in Microsoft technology

·       Excellent communication skills in English

·       Fluent English language skills with experience in English language IT Service Delivery or Presales

·       Analyze and manage customer requirements, and work with the project/change team to develop project plans and associated documents needed to deliver the solution

·       Be responsible for the overall solution integrity and design of new services and solutions proposed to the two clients

·       Work with the Change/Project team

·       Communicate and publicize results and success, both externally with the Client and internally

·       Communicate solution architectural design and service specifics to Client stakeholders
