Position Summary:
Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, provides first-line technical support to users experiencing difficulties with system network, application and software. Installs, configures, tests and upgrades hardware and software. Processes service requests by clients. Acts as resource person and resolves problems, either remotely or on-site. Instructs others and provides technical guidance. Performs adjustments and minor repairs. Maintains equipment.

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities:
Requires a security permit for Electronic Security Systems from le “Bureau de la Sécurité privée”. Two (2) years related security experience. Experience working in teams as well as independently. Ability to work in a Microsoft Office Suite environment. English and French (spoken and written).
Knowledge of French and English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level 3 on a scale of 0-4
