Client Technology Project Manager | Customer Support | Full-time | Days
Overview 1.0 Shift Hours: 8:00AM-5:00PM Days of Week: MONDAY-FRIDAY Plan and manage enterprise client technology projects for the UF Health environment, hardware deployments, operating system upgrades and new application or service implementations. Also coordinates with UF Health units and external vendors for facilitating complex technology projects supporting clinical care, research, and education. Responsibilities Include: Providing cost-effective and sustainable client technology solutions which achieve functional requirements Ensuring compliance with information security and privacy regulations specific to an academic healthcare environment Ensuring that approved projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet required objectives Developing and implementing processes utilizing industry best practices for IT project management Initiation - Stakeholder identification, functional requirements and fiscal analysis Planning - Scope of work, deliverables, resource allocation and scheduling, risk analysis, support requirements Execution - oversee deployment staff, coordination with other service teams, change management Monitoring and controlling - progress reporting; achievement of key performance indicators Closure - testing and validation, training and documentation, transition to production support services Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor degree is required and 3 years direct experience in client technology implementation, project management and support. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience. CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) or PMP (Project Management Professional) or ability to achieve certification within six months of hire. Proficient in use of workgroup and project management tools and applications. Desired Skills and Experience: Extensive knowledge and experience in client technology hardware, operating systems, applications, and services pertaining to clinical care, research, and academic activities. Experience in working with an enterprise level IT environment; broad understanding of IT disciplines and demonstrated ability to work cohesively with internal service teams and external contractors. Excellent oral and written communications skills and the ability to accurately determine resource and scheduling requirements. Excellent customer service skills including the ability to effectively manage customer expectations and expedite problem resolution Licensure/Certification/Registration: None Motor Vehicle Operator Designation (Required): Employees in this position: Will operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a "non-frequent driver" NOTE: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or Shands automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job.
