Climate Action Coordinator

The Climate Action Coordinator at Middlebury College provides operational and technical support for the implementation of programs and outreach efforts to support campus activities related to the Climate Action Program. This includes internal and external communications, coordinating the Climate Action Fellowship program, organizing events across campus, as well as performing administrative tasks for overall programs.

This position is a grant-funded full-time, hourly, benefits eligible position. The hiring range for the position is $20.57- $25.72 per hour and is term limited. The current end date for this position is expected to be June 30, 2026 with the possibility of extension.

Core Responsibilities

Coordinates Climate Action Fellowship program for Middlebury undergrads by supporting cohort-building, mentoring, skill-building, project design and implementation Supports onboarding of students through orientation, Compass, and other programmatic priorities Conducts outreach and makes connections with internal and external partners that supports and resources relevant work, and builds momentum and collaboration Shares out program efforts through website, social media, and other communications channels, highlighting diverse ways of approaching climate change personally, academically, and professionally Coordinates strategic events, supports speakers, trainings, and community-building event planning, logistical, and promotional efforts Works together with Director and EA staff to identify core climate competencies and opportunities for curricular and co-curricular development Supports efforts to enhance alumni and network collaboration, assess programs, and other program focus areas
