It’s a perfect blend of big-city amenities and Southern charm. 3 Montvue, Admission Discharge Unit: Parkwest Admission Discharge Unit (ADU) is a 30 bed unit with dedicated areas for admission and discharge. The ADU provides efficient, high-quality care to patients who are being admitted to or discharged from the hospital. The ADU facilitates a smooth transition into or out of the hospital by streamlining processes, minimizing wait times, and ensuring that all necessary care and information are provided to the patient. The ADU team work together to complete admission assessments, start ordered therapies and implement plans of care, all before an inpatient bed opens up. Patients that are being discharged from the hospital may be moved to the Admission Discharge Unit to streamline the discharge process and freeing up an inpatient bed. Staff members include RN’s, Certified Nursing Assistants, Patient Care Assistants, and Health Unit Coordinators who work together to provide exceptional patient care. Our department is high energy and team oriented, with patient and staff satisfaction as a high priority. We currently use a self-scheduling module that covers a six week period. Staff work three 12-hour shifts per week with an every other weekend rotation. We have a supportive environment and orientation is tailored to your needs. Reviews clinical performance of preceptee with unit leader or clinical instructor. + Demonstrates competence in performing critical skills to include appropriate delivery of care according to the age-specific needs of the population served. + Supervises LPNs, Nursing Assistants, HUCs, Techs, and sitters. + Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested. + Performs other duties as assigned.
