Work where you matter.** **A Brief Overview** Directs and supervises of all clinic activities through clinic management, clinical and administrative support staff. Responsible for the functions of physician relations, strategic planning, development of clinic goals, budget, materials management; policies, procedures, and protocols; regulatory compliance; performance improvement; certification and accreditation; and staff/patient education. **What you will do** + Directs and supervises all clinic activities through department heads and administrative support staff. Consults with and advises department managers on a regular basis. Directly responsible and accountable for all core operations/functions of physician relations, materials management, policies, procedures and operational protocols, regulatory and corporate compliance, staff orientation and competency; patient education; performance improvement planning; and equipment maintenance and repair. + As a member of the leadership team, serves as a role model of the leadership principles resulting in positive communication and problem solving. Resolves any medical-administrative problems and keeps lines of communication open with staff to ensure high employee morale and a professional healthful clinic atmosphere. + Acts as liaison between owned or managed clinics and other providers, government agencies and third-party payers. + Knows and addresses applicable laws and regulations. Maintains an accurate and acute knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards. Maintains basic knowledge of Medicare reimbursement principles. In collaboration with the Avera’s Corporate Compliance Office, assures the development and maintenance of corporate compliance plan for accreditation visits. Reviews and updates departmental policies and practices. Develops and revises policies, procedures, and protocols to reflect current regulations. Assures the delivery of manuals and complete education to assure implementation. + Maintains as accurate knowledge base of certification/accreditation requirements, to include but not be limited to Joint Commission. Provides education and assures the development of readiness plans. Serves as the team leader for accreditation visits. + Selects, develops, and retains staff to accomplish objectives. Assures the maintenance of position control, staff mix, and a scheduling process to maintain appropriate staffing levels. Assures the development, implementation, and evaluation staff and continuing education to include competencies. + In conjunction with Leadership teams, responsible and accountable for the effective operations of the billing, A/P, and A/R components of the clinic. + Responsible for vendor contracting and relationships to assure the lowest possible COGS as well as timely delivery of product and services. Serves as the facilitator for the product evaluation. + Recruits physicians for owned and managed practices as required. Prepares and implements annual recruitment plans based on marketplace assessments. Takes appropriate actions to ensure smooth transition as physician leave or retire. + In collaboration with the Senior Leadership, completes strategic and operational planning. + Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, developing, training, and retaining employees; planning, assigning, and leading work; appraising performance; rewarding and coaching employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. **Essential Qualifications** The individual must be able to work the hours specified.
