CLINIC MEDICAL ASSISTANT

+ DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
+ The Clinic Medical Assistant is responsible for providing basic nursing care to patients under the direction of the physician and/or licensed nurse. They must be able to handle emergency situations and to provide optimal service to the patient, physicians, and the clinic sites. They are responsible to perform a wide variety of patient care activities and accommodative services for patients, as directed by the physician and according to established procedures.
+ QUALIFICATIONS
+ Professional/Educational
+ Certified or Registered Medical Assistant required.
+ Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
+ Experience in Ambulatory Clinics preferred.
+ DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.
+ Personal
+ Computer knowledge and clerical / business office functions.
+ Possesses a sense of responsibility, initiative, and teamwork.
+ Works effectively with others, possessing tact, discretion and diplomacy.
+ Possesses the ability to work under pressure.
+ Willingness to be flexible and adaptable.
+ Possess the ability to maintain the Standards of Conduct.
+ Ability to use the proper channels of communication.
Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
