Clinic Nurse
Clinic Nurse Medical Clinic LLC is looking for a full-time nurse. Four-day work weeks with 10-hour shifts from 7a-6p and an hour break for lunch. This will be a rotating work schedule with week 1 being Monday-Thursday, and week 2 being Tuesday-Friday. This position will rotate between the Medical Clinic locations in Hamburg, Sidney, and Tabor. Looking for a CMA, LPN or RN to fill this position. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Current licensure in good standing in state of Iowa, and all other states where license is held. Current BLS Certification & Mandatory Reporter Training. Duties: Patient Care: • Perform patient assessment and documentation in Electronic Medical • Record (EMR) prior to a provider visit to include: Vitals BMI Blood Pressure & repeat blood pressure as needed Temperature Pulse Ox Initial Patient assessment screening • Chief complaint – document reason for visit • Medications • Update current medication list in the patient’s EMR • Update medication allergies • Update current pharmacy in EMR • Medical History • Update past medical history • Social History • Family History • Surgical History Prepare equipment and assist providers during examinations, treatments, and minor surgeries. Administer medications, dressing and treatments as needed. Administer vaccinations and document in EMR & IRIS • IDPH Training: https://idph.iowa.gov/immtb/immunization • Vaccines for Children (VFC) • Adolescent Immunizations • Adult Immunizations • VFC & Private Stock Vaccines • VCF Re-Enrollment & Training • Vaccine Storage & Handling • You Call the Shots • IRIS Assist with emergency lifesaving procedures as needed. Prescriptions & Medications • Review and update patient medication lists • Prepare prescription requests. • Perform prescription refills • Obtain prior authorizations for medications as needed • Obtain prior authorizations on tests as needed for insurance companies. Perform appropriate telephone triage • Document communication and action in the patient’s EMR • Schedule patient appointments for diagnostic testing or consultations with specialists Perform Chronic Care Management duties • Facilitate patient and family access to health care, school, and community resources including specialists, pharmaceutical assistance services, mental health, and drug treatment programs. Laboratory: • Perform all inhouse lab tests and prepare specimens for lab sent to reference labs • Verify laboratory test appropriate ICD10 Diagnosis Codes for medical necessity • Maintain CLIA regulations, Protocols and Policies, Proficiency Testing, Quality Assessment and Qualitive Control. • Report test results as required to local, state, and federal agencies. • Maintain lab equipment. • Maintain Laboratory Testing Logs • Provide audit of expired drugs, sample drugs, injectables and supplies. • Order supplies as needed. • Sterilize equipment. • Maintain emergency box. • Stock rooms. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Responsibilities: • Maintain compliance with Medical Clinic LLC's policies and procedures. • Provide patient care in compliance with Medicare and Medicaid requirements for Rural Health Clinics. • Maintain documents and reports and submit documentation as required. • Document patient communications and maintain patient records in EMR. • Maintain compliance with regulatory entities including Iowa Department of Inspection and Appeals, DEA, COLA, CLIA, local, state, and federal government. • Maintain current knowledge and comply with HIPAA & OSHA regulations.
