Overview

As the Clinic Manager, you'll oversee the day-to-day operational functions for the clinic, ensuring that office policies, procedures, and plans are executed in a smooth and expeditious manner. You'll provide leadership, guidance, and expertise to all staff members as well as effectively communicating departmental activities to the team. The Clinic Manager is responsible for establishing a high-performance team that is efficient, knowledgeable, service oriented, and shares responsibility for attaining the goals of the practice. 

Responsibilities Oversees the completion of daily tasks ensuring appropriate workload assignmentsReviews and approves clinic employee time cards and time off requestsTrains, coaches and mentors’ employees for ongoing developmentInterviews, hires, and recommends salary increases for clinic personnel as well as aids in the development of employee goals that are in alignment with the Company’s strategic goalsResponsible for the profitability and budget development of assigned clinic location. Reviews and analyzes monthly management information reports.Monitors clinic and surgery schedules within assigned locationFosters development of strong relationships between employees and providersResponsible for the ongoing development of community outreach, building and maintaining relationships with referring doctor’s and other efforts to increase growthAssists in finding resolution to problems and keeps an open line of communication with all staff to ensure high productivityWorks with other managers in identifying and finding a solution for staffing overages/shortagesCompletes all end of day tasks and reportsEncourages a team-oriented environment and follows company guidelines and policiesPerforms additional duties as reasonably assigned

 

 

ADDENDUM- RETINA DUTIES

Manage a team of retina centric employees to include hiring, organizing their training and assisting with onboarding activities.Conduct and manage performance of retina centric employeesMonitor physician templates to assure scheduling maximization and utilizationResponsible for coordinating with clinic managers to drive retina team productivityReview and develop retina workflows to improve clinic efficiencies and patient satisfactionMonitor and oversee the medication management (ordering, tracking, waste) of retina medication for all BDP retina locations.Train staff on Arbimed and ReQlogic processesTrain and ensure staff utilization of PX Connect programCreate and publish retina team schedules to ensure optimal use of staff and provider productivity Conduct bi-weekly lead meetings to address program issuesConduct monthly Retina Team meeting to review updates and training opportunitiesCross training staff on scribing and assisting with photography/IV’sEnsure clinic presence and visibility through routine clinic visitsBuild, maintain and grow provider relationsWork with outside retina vendors to coordinate trainings and use of new equipment based on AVP guidelines

 

Qualifications High School diploma or equivalentBilingual is a huge plus!Bachelor of Science degree strongly preferredMinimum of three years’ experience managing a medical practice required5+ years medical practice management experience preferredStrong financial aptitude and computer skillsWorking knowledge of all aspects regarding optometric careExcellent verbal and written communication skillsPersonable; empathetic with patient's needs and concernsDetail oriented, reliable and able to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume work environmentAbility to problem solve and make decisionsDemonstrated ability to delegate and supervise a team  Benefits & Perks
